Good Doctor Crew Sheet
Hello, all! Sam Richmann here, your stage manager for The Good Doctor. I've compiled the crew sheet and have attached it below. Please note that ALL of us are called on Monday, January 7th after the short Thespian meeting. It's the first day we get back from the break. We'll have a lot to do that week seeing as how we open that first Thursday that we get back. We will need all of you there. Thank you all for your help in making this show a success. Spread the word to your friends and family about the show. The more, the merrier! Be aware that some of the crews will be helping out in some of the areas, so be prepared to help wherever needed. For example, costumes will be helping with lobby some, and props crew will be assisting the stage crew and vice versa. Contracts and Progress Reports will be due on that Wednesday. If you don't turn those in, you will not be able to participate in the show. Remember, all of us are called after school on Monday. Thanks, and have a great rest of the break!

Meeting Minutes 12/17
Christmas is almost here! Yay! Hanukkah was fun! Yay! School is almost out! Yay! The world is about to end! Aww... Now onto the meeting:
Winter Formal
Winter Formal
- Well done, everybody. Very successful!
- Nice job with decorating and cleaning up and all of it. Give yourselves a pat on the back and a cup of hot chocolate.
- Thanks to all of the chaperones! Much thanks!
Secret Santa
- Don't forget to give your gift by this Wednesday, December 19.
- Remember, telling your recipient that you gave them the gift is 100% optional. You can tell them it was you, or you can keep it a mystery! Ooo, spooky!
Regionals
- Sign up with Todd by this Thursday, December 20. This is a definitive sign-up. He will be obtaining judges to critique our pieces before Regionals actually arrives, so we can be extra successful.
- Todd also has the rules and particulars about Regionals printed out, if you want that.
- Thank you and break a leg to all of the participants!
- Any questions? See oregonthespians.org for more details.
Canned Food Drive
- ICC is asking each member of a club (that means you!) to please bring in three cans of food.
- If you're already in a club, you don't have to donate an additional three cans for each club you're in. Buuuuuut, if you want to, feel free to do so.
- Help those less fortunate this holiday season (everybody's doing it.)
Friday Assembly Good Doctor Advertising
- Bussey is looking for volunteers for Friday's assembly to stand at the doorways after the assembly gets done to pass out flyers advertising The Good Doctor.
- If you are interested, please contact him and let him know, so he can plan accordingly.
Can and Bottle Drive
- We are planning to do another can and bottle drive over the break. We will be canvasing the neighborhoods with flyers the first week of the break, and then picking up the cans and bottles the following week.
- Currently the plan is to Canvas on Saturday, December 29 (possibly the 28th and 30th as well) and pick up on Friday, January 4 (possibly the 5th as well.)
- If we want to make this work, we will NEED as much help as possible. Don't flake, guys. I'll judge you.
I've said it plenty of times, but I'll say it again. If you missed the meeting, you gotta come to the TMM (Tuesday Meeting Make-up) in order to oficially make-up the meeting. This post is merely a reference point, not a make-up. Where? Table in the commons near the gym. When? Tuesday morning during access time. Why? Because you missed the meeting. Who? I'll be there for you to talk to.
That's all I got. Merry Christmas!

Good Doctor Tech Forms
Attention to all of those who are interested in helping with tech for The Good Doctor! First off, thank you very much to those of you who have turned in your tech sheets already. I very much appreciate that. I would also really appreciate it if the rest of you who want to help with tech could please turn in your Tech forms by this Friday. It would really help me get an idea of what the crews are going to have to look like. If you did not know, the tech sheets are in the auditorium posted on the main-stage board to your right hand side as soon as you walk in the door. Thank you so very much for your help! It's going to be an awesome show!

- Todd has forms for the chaperones

Secret Santa
- If you were at the meeting, you probably got a name for the Secret Santa Gift Exchange (even some of those who missed the meeting got a name)
- There is a $10 limit fro gifts. (No Coach purses. That'd be odd.)
Scrip
- A perfect gift for the Politically-Correct Holiday Season!
- Talk to Bussey and he'd be more than happy to hook you up with some Scrip
- Great way to raise money for the theatre, too
Regionals
- Get cracking on practicing your pieces!
- Less than two months before they'll be performed. That'll shrink to nothing before you know it.
As always if you missed the meeting, you must make it to the make-ups in the commons during access time at a table near the gym. You know that by now, right? Right! Yay! Go team!
On an additional note, keep an eye out for word in regard to the Improv Squad. Harrison will be getting information on that coming up shortly.
Week 1 Rehearsal schedule
Here is the rehearsal schedule for Week 1. Please feel free to talk to Bussey about any questions, thoughts, concerns, comments, etc. you may have about the schedule. He wants to do what'll work best for all of those involved. Thanks!

Craft Fair
Craft Fair

Meeting 11/5
Oh, snap! It's time for... (drum roll) MEETING MINUTES! Yay! Go team! Here's the low down on what was talked about at the meeting. Use this as a reference point, in case you ever want to know what happened at the Thespian meeting or what is coming up.

Winter Formal
- It's coming up, so be ready to run the dance! It'll be super fun!

- We will be putting on an assembly, so get ready to participate in that as well.
Regionals
- February 2nd (mark your calendars)
- Start finding your scenes and organizing groups
- For more details, you can go to oregonthespians.org, or you can ask me or one of the officers, and we'll be happy to explain it more in-depth
Comp Tickets
- The complimentary tickets for As You Like It for patrons are going to be sent out within a couple of days
- They will be in letter format, rather than in postcard format
- You will be expected to follow through with your patrons and confirm that they received those.
- Businesses will be sent posters for As You Like It, too
Ticket Sales for As You Like It
- Both Lunches
- Commons and Cafeteria
- Sign up, if you have not already.
- If you sign up, REMEMBER which days you were signed up on. Today, neither cash box was picked up (disappointing)
- Todd has the cash boxes
Scrip
- Hopefully, you are consistently buying Scrip.
- Talk to Bussey if you need more Scrip, or if you have any questions about it
Cardworks Gift Wrapping
- November 8, this Thursday
- Don't forget if you are signed up (You know who you are)
Craft Fair
- December 1st (First weekend of December)
- Your group should have a craft picked out to be putting together
- Hopefully you have established a date(s) when you will be putting it together
- Remember, we are competing with regional artisans, so make it quality
- If any group needs help, talk to the officers and we'll be more than happy to help you out
Upcoming shows
- I will be posting a separate post with the upcoming shows from other high schools and the details on those performances
- It would be excellent if we could visit those shows to show our solidarity with other theatre programs (I know I will be seeing Canby's version of Our Town)
- If you are interested, Todd's show Pinkalicious is also opening this weekend. I bet it's pretty awesome. Todd plays a cupcake, among other things.
Tuesday Meeting Make-up (TMM, as the cool kids call it)
- Commons, in the morning on Tuesday at a table near the gym.
- If you missed a meeting, you have to go to this to make it up.
Thanks, ya'll! Have a great night, week, month, year and life!

- Craft Fair discussion next week. Be prepared with your group's idea.
- Thanks to those of you who passed out fliers for the Gift Wrapping at conferences, and those of you who signed up to gift wrap on November 8! Way to go!
- Don't forget about your Progress Report for As You Like It. Consequences will follow for those who do not turn it in. Bad Things. Very Baaad.

- You are required to be there from set-up through cleaning up. If you have a conflict, let Mr. Bussey know.

If you were not assigned a role, please choose between being an Oompa Loompa, Evil Squirrel or a Piece of Candy. Whichever you prefer. (Time for Sam's opinion: More Oompa Loompas = fun. But whatevs you wanna do)
- The people who have new roles are:
- Autumn Mandera - Augustus Gloop
- Jezeth Zaragoza - Doll
- Emily Shook - Doll
- Olivia Cordell - Doll
- Maddie Pedersen - Doll
- Those of you who volunteered to bring in candy, lights, etc., thank you! Don't forget to bring those items.

- If you were not at the meeting today, you must come to Tuesday Meeting Make-ups, in the commons at a table near the gym, in the morning during access time, in order to officially make-up the missed meeting. Again, reading this does not count. This is merely a place for reference if you want to check back on things

Alice In Wonderland a couple years ago. If anybody doesn’t have rehearsal and
would like to do Wonka, that’d be great if you could fill in for Mitchell.
Please let me know if you have any concerns or whether you don’t want the part
you were assigned. If this is the case, I’m sure we can work something out. Remember:
scary costumes! (But not too scary for the really little kids) Have fun!

Meeting Minutes from 10/15
Hi. Another post from your pal, Sam. One of the ones that is long, and important. All the information, right here. Have a ball!
- Halloween rooms
- Thanks for all your suggestions! They were great. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ultimately won the title, so we will be doing that.
- Be prepared next meeting to get decoration assignments.
- We are currently in the process of finalizing the characters. We have to get the rehearsal schedule, so we know who we will be missing, so we can plan accordingly. But keep an eye out for those
- Craft Fair
- Make sure your team is organized and has a project decided for you guys to make.
- Start working on your crafts and schedule times for you to make them.
- Pay one of the officers $1 for the craft fair. A few of you still have to do that.
- As You Like It
- Contracts be due! Turn 'em in!
- Work party on Tuesday! We party hard while we work hard!
- Regionals
- Start working on your regional pieces.
- Information can be found at oregonthespians.org
- The deadline will approach quicker than you expect
- Patronage
- You should be done with this.
- Any problems? Talk to Mica.
- While the Lights Were Out
- Murder Mystery Farce at Southridge High School.
- A group will be going on Thursday. Show starts at 7, but hopefully we can get down there a little beforehand. Info for carpool to come shortly. Give me a day.
- Tickets are $5 a pop. Unless you have a thespian card. Then it's 2 for $5.
- Please comment if you want to go, and are available to go. We will work out the rides so everybody that wants to go, gets a ride down there.
- Roosevelt Halloween Dance
- Friday, October 26th at 5 PM
- Carpool info to come later, but mark your calendars
- Scrip
- You should buy this. It's money you already spend at the places you like. DO IT!
- Questions? Ask Bussey.

- If you have a question about making up a meeting or any problems, ask one of the officers. We like helping you.
Thanks, Guys!

So...
BLAH! Spooked you, right? That's cause it's Halloween season. Speaking of which, you should probably vote for Halloween rooms. Send Hayley a message. Do it, or your voice goes unheard. Dang. That'd suck. Also, there is a Thespian Meeting on Monday. Be there or we glare at you for an extended period of time. And you don't want that. It is bad. Very bad.

Reminder - Halloween Rooms and other stuff
Alrighty! Don't forget to write down your suggestions for Halloween rooms in the suggestion booklet on the Thespian board! Also, for the Murder Mystery Farce at Southridge, when do we want to go? 18th? 19th? 20th? I encourage you to comment on this post voicing your preference. And as long as your commenting, please say whether you are available to go to Roosevelt's Halloween dance on the 26th. Please, spread the word. We want to figure these things out. And don't forget about Craft fair.

Meeting Minutes for 10/1
Man! What a fun meeting! Love 'em. Thanks for checking out the blog! I'll fill you in on what we talked about. Use this as a resource for referencing back. Like: "Hey they said something really cool about Halloween rooms, but I can't remember what it was." Well, now you can be like: "I know, I'll check the blog to see what it was!" Ya dig? Good. Anyway, I'll get to it. Here's the low down on what we talked about:
- Patronage
- Gotta turn it in, yo. Else you get suspended from the troupe, which sucks
- You can continue to sell patronage throughout the year, don't feel that it's over. Keep on fundraising!
- Congratulations to whomever has sold the most patronage! You won a batch of homemade cookies!
- Out of Darkness
- October 6th at 10 AM
- Please support the noble cause if you are in town this weekend. Please show your support.
- Register at http://afsp.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.home under the team name THS Thespian Troupe #2833.
- Questions? Contact Mica!
- Shakespeare Trip This Weekend
- Turn in your money, turn in your permission slip, and turn in the pre-arranged absence form.
- Please thank Mr. Wilson if you are going! He has done a lot of work to make this trip possible.
- Homecoming parade.
- Due to the amount of absentees, we are not going to have a float this year.
- We wanted to avoid the stress of putting it together from falling on a select few shoulders.
- AIDS Walk/Strikes
- Pretty good turn out for AIDS Walk! Good Job!
- Unfortunately, there were a lot of you who were not present. This in and of itself is not a problem. But failing to inform Mr. Nick Bussey about the aforementioned absenteeism is a problem.
- We consider this your warning. Next time, there will be strikes. (Remember the strike system? I was ready to give all ya'll strikes who went unaccounted for. Thank the other officers for saving your tail.)
- Thank you to those of you who informed Bussey that you weren't going to be there. It is appreciated.
- This is the standard format for Thespian events: Be there. If you can't, Let Bussey know.
- Halloween Rooms
- They is comin' up! Get pumped!
- Got a good idea for a theme? Cool! Go ahead and write it down in the suggestion book in the scene shop! (Located next to the work room, hanging off the calendar.)
- We will post the suggestions online next week and do the voting that way. This means suggestions must be in by next week.
- SCRIP
- Buy it! Use it! Please!
- Questions? Contact Bussey!
- Unity
- That's the theme for the year. Feel it, breath it, live it.
- We want to encourage an atmosphere of celebration rather than competition this year.
- Encourage each other rather than trying to better each other.
- We are going to start branching out to other troupes as well. Seeing their shows, having multi-troupe get togethers, etc.
- Craft Fair
- Thespians are doing stuff! We have organized ourselves into groups of around 9 people. If you do not have a group, please talk to fellow thespians so you can be a part of this wonderful project.
- Groups will come up with crafts to sell at the craft fair. Quality crafts. No two-bit macaroni pictures. Stuff people wanna buy. Like life size replicas of presidents. Or bow ties. Be prepared to
- Since we are participating this year, we had to buy a space. Mica did this with her own money. Because Mica isn't the only one selling crafts, we expect you guys to help pay for this. Thus, we have required a one dollar contribution from every troupe member. Since we all like big Flashy things, YOU MUST PAY $1. Good, read on. You can pay any of the officers, and we will check you off the list.
- NW Regional Acting Competition (AKA Regionals)
- February 2nd
- We want lots of participants!
- Get your pieces ready!
- Todd wants us to work extra hard.
- Any questions? Go to www.oregonthespians.org.
- As You Like It
- Participating in the show is a requirement.
- Some of you aren't signed up to do tech.
- Therefore: Those of you who haven't signed up to be a part of As You Like It need to give Aria (stage manager) a tech form.
- Tuesday Meeting Minutes Makeups (TMMM)
- Meetings are a requirement. (Two missed meetings = STRIKE!)
- Some of you were not at the meeting.
- Showing up at TMMM is the only way to make up for a missed meeting.
- TMMM is in the commons at a table near the gym end. Officers will be there.
- Therefore: If you were not at the meeting, you have to show up in the commons on Tuesday morning to make-up for missing the meetings.
- Thanks guys! I love you all!
- Any Questions? Contact me, Sam!

SCRIP
Hello, folks! AIDS Walk went great, thanks for coming! Tons o' fun! For all of you out there who want to help support the troupe by buying Scrip, you gotta fill out the form and give it to Bussey on Monday. He'll need those before he leaves from school, so make sure you get those in. And please, remember to participate! Scrip is the easiest way to support the troupe, and it really does help us out. Thank you!

Serious Circle Stuff
Todd has canceled circle. I will not sugar coat it, and you know why. He has had qualms with it for a while, and has now gone through with it's termination. It is a terrible grievance. It was just as important to me as it was to you, and believe me, I am deeply bothered. I do not know what will be done, if we can do anything. Please do not get angry. This will not solve anything. If you have ideas on how to solve this issue, please consult one of the officers, and we will do the best we possibly can to fix it. It might mean we have to go elsewhere to share our thoughts and feelings, but I do not know how the cookie will crumble.

Leadership Summit
Some of you may know this already, but every year the Oregon Thespians do a Leadership Summit to foster leadership among the Thespian society. It is a weekend of discussion on how to solve issues we encounter as Thespians. Each school can send two representatives to the Summit. If you have any interest in attending this, please talk to Todd about being a representative. It is on the 29th and 30th of September and registration is due by the end of this week, so don't dilly dally. I can make no guarantees on who will be going, but if you have any interest at all, I highly encourage you to ask about it. The Oregon Thespians encourage at least one non-senior to attend, so do not feel that just because you are not a senior, you will not be able to go. Spread the word, in case anybody you know may be interested.
Reminder
Hi guys and gals and dolls and gents! Just here to remind you of things coming up. Numero 1) Don't forget to sell that patronage! And I posted this early in the summer, you might have forgotten, but to the person who sells the most patronage, I will bake them a batch of cookies. Yum! Next item: AIDS Walk. Register, please. Thank you to those who have. If you cannot be there on Sunday at 9 AM, you must, MUST contact Nick Bussey (His e-mail is gnebble@gmail.com and his phone number is 503-726-8943). Please also start fundraising, as it would be excellent to raise more money than we did last year. If you plan on taking the bus down to pioneer courthouse square, we will be meeting at Tigard Transit center at 7:30. Club Rush is this Wednesday. It's after school. 2:30 to 2:50. You be there, or else you be square, can you dig? Finally, I would encourage all of you to think about doing something for the Northwest Regional Acting Competition on February 2nd. We should really try to send as many people as we can, to show some THS Thespian involvement. Thanks guys, and don't forget to Vote!

Remember, you are required to be there September 23 at 9AM, but if you have a legitimate reason you cannot attend, you must let Nick Bussey know. He has all those records, so let him know. Not me. Not Todd. Bussey. If you would like to take Tri-met down there, I will be at the Tigard Transit Center at 7:30 patiently awaiting the arrival of other Thespians as well as the bus. The bus leaves the Transit Center at 7:50, and could even leave earlier, so get there early. Start fundraising now, so we raise more money this year! Thank you all!

Meeting on 9/10/12
In case you missed it, we had a meeting today. If you did miss it, you will have to check in with me and Bussey tomorrow morning, in order to make it up. We'll be in the commons at a table toward the gym. If you can't make it tomorrow, you'll have to talk to Bussey. But here's the lowdown on what we talked about. This is a reference for you to look back to. It does not count as making up the meeting. In order to make up for the meeting you missed, come see me and Bussey tomorrow morning.
- Auditions for As You Like It are on the 17th and 19th of September, so prepare your monologues!
- AIDS Walk is on Sunday September 23rd at 9 AM at Pioneer Courthouse Square. If you can't be there, talk to Bussey. Register at
http://
www.aidswalkportland.org/. The team name is Tigard Thespian Troupe #2833. There will be a group meeting at the Tigard Transit Center that morning using Tri-Met for transportation. Details on that to come later. - Out of Darkness is on October 6th at 10 AM. Register at
http://afsp.donordrive.com/
index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive .home. The team name is THS Thespian Troupe #2833. If you have questions on that, please contact Mica. If you cannot be there, talk to Bussey. - Homecoming is on October 5th. The Thespians will be having a float participate in the parade, so be ready for that. Think about possible float ideas. The theme is either going to be Hawaii, or the Olympics. We don't know which one it'll be, yet. So ideas for both are always good.
- The Shakespeare trip to Ashland is on October 5, 6 and 7. If you are going, let Bussey know. We like this information. It helps us with planning.
- We will be using a strike system to help with our problems we've had in the past of people flaking. If you would like details on that, contact any of the officers, and we'll be happy to explain it to you.
- Be thinking of ideas for the Craft Fair that will be in early December. Think of crafts that you would like to make and sell to fund raise for the Troupe
- Club Rush is on September 19th from 2:30 to 2:50. The Thespians will have a booth there. You are expected to be there. Again, if you cannot be there, contact Bussey.
- TO EVERYONE: Talk to Bussey about SCRIP. It is very good for you, me and all the Thespians.
- TO EVERYONE: Sell your PATRONAGE! Due October 1st.
That is all. It's a lot, but it's all important. Again, if you missed the meeting, you must see me and Bussey Tuesday morning in the commons at a table near the gym to make it up. If you don't, you are one step closer to getting a Strike. If you miss two, you get one strike. Three strikes and your out.
